MMC Simulations can be carried out in different ensembles. For the case of one-component systems the usual ensembles are:

• Canonical ensemble ($NVT$ )

• Isothermal-Isobaric ensemble ($NpT$)

• Grand Canonical Ensemble ($\mu VT$)
